Two men charged following burglary in Southport - Updated release (issued on 13th June):
Two men yesterday (12th June) appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court following a burglary in Southport on Tuesday (11th June) morning.
Steven Lloyd, 43 of Arlington Close, Hither Green was charged with burglary and possession of a bladed article.
Leon Shaw, 45 of Scarisbrick Avenue, Southport was also charged with burglary and possession of a bladed article.
Both men have been remanded in custody for sentencing at a later date.

Merseyside Police were called to a pub on Lord Street, Southport just after 4.20am this morning (11th June) following reports that a burglary was in progress.
Officers arrived where they detained and arrested two men, both in their 40s, at the scene. Two damaged tills, believed to have been stolen from the premises were also located nearby.
They have both been taken to custody for questioning and investigations are ongoing to establish the full extent of the damage.
