Sewer collapsed and road is now closed in Lydiate

Southport Rd near Manion Ave is blocked off, the Sewer has collapsed and also exposed a cavity that needs dealing with. The workmen said it will take two weeks to fix. They are also vacutanking the waste from further up the road and pumping near the drain by Weld Blundell.

The Scotch Piper:

Southport road is closed just past Londis but you can still get to the Scotch Piper via Pilling lane so don't let it put you off coming our way, fires lit for the rest of the winter.
