Seven cadets from RAF Merseyside Wing took part in the Staffordshire Wing Senior Leadership Course
This weekend seven cadets from Merseyside Wing took part in the Staffordshire Wing Senior Leadership Course.
This is an intensive course where students take part in advanced fieldcraft including blank and pyrotechnics all whilst living in the field and commanding their sections in a number of leadership activities whilst being assessed by Cadet Directing staff, which this weekend, included two Merseyside Wing Cadets, Sergeant C. Doyle & Sergeant O. Doyle, both of 1128 (Crosby) Squadron.
All of the students conducted themselves excellently, with Sergeant Hughes of 2348 (#Maghull) Squadron being highly commended for his performance. Further congratulations were due to all of the remaining Merseyside Wing cadets, Cadet Warrant Officer Gillard of 1908 (#Bootle) Squadron, Sergeant Evans of 146 (Northwich) Squadron) and Sergeant Horne & Corporal Hedges of 1128 (#Crosby) Squadron who were students for the weekend for their efforts in completing such a difficult course, and in gaining the silver leadership badge.
Thank you to Staffordshire Wing SLC team for inviting us, hopefully we will be back next year.
