Sefton man charged when substantial amount of drugs and cash found after drugs transaction foiled
Operation Pelican arrested a 51-year-old male and a 52-year-old male both from #Bootle area for Drug Supply Offences.
Gregory Willis, 52, of Captains Lane, #Netherton has been charged with Possession with Intent to Supply Class A Drugs.
Willis appeared before Liverpool Magistrates Court yesterday, Thursday 11th November and was remanded into custody.
The second male that was arrested has been released on bail.
Officers detained the two males in a vehicle on Wednesday 10th November, after disturbing a drug transaction in #Litherland. During a search of the vehicle a bag containing numerous wraps of crack cocaine and heroin where recovered.
Officers then carried out searches of two addresses where they recovered a substantial amount of drugs and cash. It is believed that over 700 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin were recovered with over £2000 in cash gained from criminal activity.
This seizure has taken a significant amount of drugs off the streets that subsequently funded organised crime. Operation Pelican will continue with their relentless pursuit of criminals operating across South Sefton.
