Sefton Council Green Sefton Tree Management Team have give notice of forthcoming tree works for Victoria Park, Waterloo.
Here is a statement from the Tree Management Team:
Dear Park User,
We would like to inform you that this month we are due to undertake work to a number of trees within the park.
These tree works are part of the ongoing management of Sefton's important tree stock and the aim of the work is to help create a healthy well balanced tree population that is in keeping with is surroundings.
The works will include the removal of trees that are dead or in decline (mainly Elms infected with Dutch Elm Disease). If left unattended, due to their condition, these trees will begin to pose an unacceptable health and safety risk. Unfortunately, we have no option but to remove them.
Other works will include reduction of overhang to the properties along Lawton Road boundary.
We apologise in advance for any disturbance and inconvenience and ask for your cooperation while the works are taking place.
