Road Resurfacing Works on Hatton Hill Road – Now Underway, Important Information for Residents

ROADWORKS NOW UNDERWAY – Hatton Hill Road, Litherland
Essential resurfacing works have now started on Hatton Hill Road in Litherland, from Kirkstone Road West to Appleton Road. The project is being carried out by Dowhigh Ltd on behalf of Sefton Council and will be completed in two phases over 8 working days (excluding weekends).
These much-needed improvements will help boost road safety and surface quality for all who use this route.
What’s Happening Now?
Phase 1 is currently underway
• Location: Kirkstone Road West to Watling Avenue
• Dates: Monday 24th March to Wednesday 26th March
• Road Closed: 9:00am – 3:00pm daily
Phase 2 will follow immediately after:
• Location: Watling Avenue to Appleton Road
• Dates: Thursday 27th March to Wednesday 2nd April (excluding the weekend)
• Road Closed: 9:00am – 4:30pm daily
What You Need to Know:
• Road closures are in place during working hours.
• Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles is being maintained.
• Vehicle access to homes or businesses is limited and at the Site Supervisor’s discretion.
• If you’re expecting deliveries, try to rearrange outside of closure times where possible.
Please Take Care:
• Watch out for uneven road surfaces and raised ironworks.
• Check your shoes for tar or mud before entering your home or car.
• Keep children well away from machinery or newly laid surfaces.
• Avoid driving over freshly prepared areas – damage caused won’t be the responsibility of the contractor.
