Police cordon off School Lane as we receive early reports of a stabbing in a Formby graveyard

We have had an early report of an ongoing police incident in Formby Village. An eyewitnes said they believed that someone had been stabbed in the graveyard to Our Lady’s Church which is on School Lane in Formby.

We have been told it was a young boy who has been stabbed but this has not been confirmed. We have been sent this by an eyewitness: ”My mum an dad seen him screaming in the road an pulled over to help him. He’s only 15. He was stabbed right in the middle of his back an struggling to breathe. The pieces of shit that took his bike didn’t even say anything just stabbed him an took it. Police said it’s the 3rd one that’s happened, it’s 2 lads with masks on doing it.”

Youths gather at the scene of the incident Police have now cordoned off the road with blue tape as they investigate the incident. We are now awaiting a police report and will keep you informed as soon as we know any more.

The Air Ambulance did attend but was not needed so left the scene without landing.
