Police cordon off road in Ainsdale after a man was assaulted by two men

Merseyside Police confirmed that officers were called to the junction of Orchard Lane and Liverpool Road at around 3:20 am. on Friday, July 12. A man in his 20s was assaulted by two men, suffering injuries to his head and leg. He was rushed to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Detective Inspector Paul McVeigh stated: “We are making inquiries into what led up to the assault and are speaking to potential witnesses and viewing CCTV footage."
