Police appeal for witnesses after a serious RTC with a cyclist and a lorry on Stanley Road
Merseyside Police appeal for witnesses after a serious RTC this morning, Tuesday 26th July, invloving a female cyclist and a lorry.
Road closures are in place at the junction of Stanley Road and Commercial Road; and the junction of Bankhall Street and Derby Road.
Police are urging motorists to avoid the area while work is carried out.
A spokesperson from Merseyside police said: “Emergency services are in Kirkdale following a serious road traffic collision this morning, Tuesday 26 July.” “At around 8.25am, Merseyside Police were called to the junction of Stanley Road and Bankhall Street following reports of a collision involving a lorry and a female cyclist. The ambulance and fire services are also at the scene.” “The condition of the woman is being assessed, and the lorry driver stopped and will be assisting our enquiries.” “Road closures are in place at the junction of Stanley Road and Commercial Road; and the junction of Bankhall Street and Derby Road.
