Police appeal for information following armed robbery in Sefton

Merseyside Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at Addison Arms, on Stanley Road, in #Bootle on Sunday 2 April.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "At around 11.30pm, it was reported that a man, who was believed to be armed with a knife, had threatened a staff member and taken a quantity of cash at Addison Arms, on Stanley Road in Bootle."

"No one was injured, but the staff member was left shaken by the incident."

"The suspect, who was dressed in all black clothing and had his face covered, fled the area on a pedal bike in the direction of Strand Road."

"CCTV enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward to help with our investigation."

Detective Inspector Gavin Mulcahy said: “We are appealing for information following a robbery at the Addison Arms on Sunday evening.”

“We understand that there were people in the pub at the time of the incident. If this was you, please come forward as information you hold could be vital to our enquiries.”

“Similarly if you were driving in the Stanley Road area on Sunday evening and have dashcam footage then please review it and let us know if you see the man described on a bike or anything suspicious.”

“No-one should be subjected to this level of fear and intimidation while they try to earn an honest living, so please come forward and we will do everything in our power to put this offender before the courts.”

“Whether you come forward to us directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers, all information will be acted upon.”
