National Trust Formby ask that you do not visit their woodlands or beaches until the weekend
National Trust Formby are still experiencing wind gusts of over 50 miles an hour. They have sent out this statement:
For the safety of visitors, volunteers and staff Victoria Road car park remains closed, and we strongly advise you do not go into the woodlands or near the sea.
We’re unable to close such an open site with many access points. However for your own safety we would advise planning your visit for another day.
We’re aiming to re-open Victoria road car park by the weekend once safety checks have been completed.
When visiting during or after high winds please take extra care. Dog owners please remain vigilant as all sorts of hazardous materials such as palm oil may also have been washed up. Try to avoid your furry friends eating anything off the beach.
Thank you for your on-going support.
