Merseyside Police put FIVE Dispersal Zones across Sefton covering Mischief Night & Halloween

Merseyside Police have put FIVE Dispersal Zones in place so far across Sefton which will cover Mischief Night and Halloween Night in Maghull, Netherton, Crosby, Waterloo and Bootle.

We are expecting more in other areas to be added to this list.

MAGHULL:

DISPERSAL ZONE | A Dispersal Zone will be in effect from: 3:00pm Mon 30th Oct 2023 (Mischief Night)

until 11:59pm Tue 31st Oct 2023 (Halloween) 🧛

The Dispersal Zone covers Maghull area (see attached map) and is used as a tool to help combat Anti-Social Behaviour in the area.

Within this area, police officers or PCSO's have the power (under certain circumstances) to:

• Require anyone to leave the area and prevent them from returning for up to 48 hours.

• Require a person to surrender items that can be used to cause anti-social behaviour.

• Send under 16s home or to a place of safety.

• Arrest anyone who ignores the instruction.

NETHERTON:

DISPERSAL ZONE | The Dispersal Zone covers the #Netherton area (see attached map) and is used as a tool to help combat Anti-Social Behaviour in the area. It will be in place from:

3:00pm Monday 30th Oct 2023 (Mischief Night)

until

11:59pm Tuesday 31st Oct 2023 (Halloween) 🧟

Within this area, police officers or PCSO's have the power (under certain circumstances) to:


• Require anyone to leave the area and prevent them from returning for up to 48 hours.

• Require a person to surrender items that can be used to cause anti-social behaviour.

• Send under 16s home or to a place of safety.

• Arrest anyone who ignores the instruction.

CROSBY:

DISPERSAL ZONE | A Dispersal Zone will be in place from:

3:00pm on Mon 30th Oct 2023 (Mischief Night)

until

11:59pm on Tue 31st Oct 2023 (Halloween) 🦇

The Dispersal Zone covers #Crosby area (see attached map) and is used as a tool to help combat Anti-Social Behaviour in the area

Within this area, police officers or PCSO's have the power (under certain circumstances) to:


• Require anyone to leave the area and prevent them from returning for up to 48 hours.

• Require a person to surrender items that can be used to cause anti-social behaviour.

• Send under 16s home or to a place of safety.

DISPERSAL ZONE | A Dispersal Zone covering the #Waterloo area (see attached map) will be in place from:

3:00pm Mon 30th Oct 2023 (Mischief Night)

until

11:59pm Tue 31st Oct 2023 (Halloween) 🧙

DISPERSAL ZONE | A Dispersal Zone will be in place from:

3:00pm on Mon 30th October 2023 (Mischief Night)

until

11:59pm on Tue 31st October 2023 (Halloween)

The Dispersal covers #Bootle area (see attached map) and is used as a tool to help combat Anti-Social Behaviour in the area.

Within this area, police officers or PCSO's have the power (under certain circumstances) to:


• Require anyone to leave the area and prevent them from returning for up to 48 hours.

• Require a person to surrender items that can be used to cause anti-social behaviour.

• Send under 16s home or to a place of safety.

• Arrest anyone who ignores the instruction.
