Merseyside Fire & Rescue are seeking Marine Rescue Unit Crew Members (in Development), to be based at the Marine Rescue Unit at Pier Head, Liverpool.

Post-holders will provide rescue boat crew duties including:

⚓️ Helming, steering & deploying rescue boats

⚓️ Safety & support operations

⚓️ Educating the community to improve water awareness

⚓️ Saving endangered life

⚓️ Resolving operational incidents

⚓️ Protecting the environment from hazardous materials

⚓️ Supporting pre-planned events as part of safety arrangements

Contracts - permanent & fixed term contracts available

Salary - £21,339 per annum (in development) plus generous ‘sleeping-in’ allowances & remuneration for any continuous period of response activity

Closing date - midnight on Monday, 22nd July 2019

Fitness test including bleep test & role-related simulated aptitude tests in water – 12th & 13th August 2019
