Man charged after two pubs In Sefton broken into this week
Merseyside Police can confirm that a man has been charged after two pubs were broken into in south Sefton earlier this week.
At around 2.30am on Monday 10 March, we received a report that the Lion and Unicorn pub, on Alexandra Road, in Waterloo, had been broken into and around 90 minutes later a similar report was made in relation to Caradoc Hotel, on Crosby Road South, in Seaforth.

There was nothing taken during either of these incidents.
Patrols attended the scene in Seaforth and Paul Mooney, 45, of no fixed abode, was arrested and later charged with two counts of attempted burglary and criminal damage.
He has been conditionally bailed and due to appear at Liverpool Magistrate’s Court on Friday 4 April.
Detective Constable Immy Mahmood said: “We take all reports of burglary seriously and thanks to the quick response from patrols, we have been able to arrest and charge a man in connection to these two incidents.
“We encourage people to come forward if you know anything about a suspected burglary and the sale of stolen goods where you are. We’ll act on all information provided.”
