Items stolen from two cars in Southport this afternoon
Catalytic converters were stolen from two cars in the Southport area on the afternoon of Saturday 5th June. The first was stolen from the car park that services the shops and medical centre on Fylde Road, between 3:30 – 3:45pm and the second was stolen from a car parked on Hesketh Road, close to the Bird Sanctuary between 3:45 – 4:10pm.
The car park would have been very busy at this time on a Saturday afternoon. CCTV enquiries are ongoing however, we are appealing to anyone who was visiting the car park between 3:00pm and 4:00pm, who may have seen anyone appearing to be doing work underneath a car on the car park. The person may have been wearing a high visibility vest to appear to be a legitimate repair worker. They are likely to have had a vehicle to make off with the stolen item and to move to the other location. Do you remember seeing a vehicle in circumstances like these?
The victim’s car was parked in one of these bays, directly opposite the medical centre?
