Incident Report: Major Crash at Switch Island, Emergency Services on Scene

A serious collision has occurred at the end of Switch Island, leading onto the Brooms Cross access road.

Police, ambulance, and fire crews are currently at the scene. Traffic is heavy but still moving, although delays are expected to worsen as the situation develops.

The incident has also affected surrounding roads into Aintree and leading into Thornton, long traffic delays from the police station and past the Park Hotel.
