Fire crews were called to a scrap yard fire on Crowland Close, #Southport on Friday night 7th October.
Four fire engines were in attendance.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire & Rescue said: “Crews were alerted at 7.13pm and on scene at 7.19pm.”
“Crews arrived to find scrap vehicles on fire across an area of 20 x 30 square metres and are fighting the fire with two hose reel jets and two main branch hoses.”
The incident is ongoing, please avoid the area. Residents and businesses nearby should keep doors and windows closed.

This incident can happen at any scrap or junk yard so everybody need t be aware of that in advance and use fire extinguishers at their junkyards so that placed junk cars are kept safe.
