Detectives have charged a man with a number of offences following an incident in Bootle on Thursday, 28 March.
Armed officers were called to a premises on Bedford Road shortly after 5.10pm where an armed containment was put in place. Following the search of an address, a revolver, pistol and quantity of ammunition were seized.
25-year-old Jack Quinton of Caspian Place, Bootle has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm, one count of possession of a silencer, two counts of possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate and one count of receiving stolen goods.
He has been remanded in custody to next appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday, 23 October.
