Bootle Man Jailed Following Pub Burglary on Stanley Road
A Bootle man has been sentenced to four months in jail following a burglary at a local pub in the early hours of Monday, 30th September.
At around 12:20 a.m., security staff reported suspicious activity outside the Addison Arms public house at The Triad on Stanley Road. Officers responded promptly and apprehended a man found inside the premises.
Gary Lindop, 47, of Clairville Close, Bootle, was charged with burglary and remanded in custody. He appeared at Wirral Adult Remand Court on Tuesday, 1st October, where he was sentenced to four months in prison. Lindop was also ordered to pay £1,000 in compensation and has been recalled to prison for breaching his licence on a separate matter.
Detective Constable Alexa Collins commented, “Crimes against local businesses have a significant impact, causing distress and disruption to those working hard to support the community. It’s reassuring to see swift action taken in this case, thanks to the collaboration between the police and the pub’s security team. We will continue to work closely with local businesses to respond effectively to criminal activity and hold offenders accountable.”
