Appeal for witnesses following firearms discharge at house in Bootle. Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident in Bootle in the early hours of this morning, Monday 10th June.
Officers were called at 12.15am following reports of damage caused to the windows of a house in Simons Croft in Litherland.
An examination of the damage to the living room window confirmed that it was consistent with a firearms discharge.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
An investigation is underway and house-to-house and CCTV enquiries are being carried out in the local area. Police officers remain at the scene this morning.
Detective Inspector Cat Walsh said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Simons Croft at around midnight last night who may have seen anyone or anything suspicious to contact us.”
“We are particularly keen to trace a male who was see on a pedal bike close the scene at the time it happened.”
“I would also ask for anyone who was in the area and who may have dash-cam footage to contact us as they may have captured something significant.”
