Appeal for information following robbery and serious assault on two teenagers in Bootle
Merseyside Police are appealing for information following a robbery and serious assault in Bootle last night, Monday 21 October.
At around 10.15pm, emergency services were called to Linacre Lane to reports of two teenage boys being found injured near to the roundabout.
A 17-year-old boy sustained serious head injuries and a 19-year-old boy sustained minor injuries.
CCTV and other enquiries are ongoing this morning and officers remain in the area.
A road closure is in place on Linacre Lane at Fernhill Road towards Southport Road so please avoid the area.
Inspector Ted Barr said: "Our initial enquiries suggest that this was a violent robbery in which an electric bike was stolen, and one of the victims is being treated for serious injuries. We think there will have been witnesses and are keen to speak to them as soon as possible.”
"If you were in the area of Linacre Lane at around 10pm last night and saw this incident or a group of youths on bikes, please come forward and share any information, including dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage. A small detail could prove vital in tracking down those responsible."
