Appeal for Information After 15-Year-Old Boy Stabbed in Crosby

Merseyside Police are appealing for information following a shocking stabbing incident in #Crosby this evening (Monday, 24 February).
Just after 6pm, emergency services were called to Cambridge Road after reports that a 15-year-old boy had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital with injuries to his leg, buttock, arm, and chest. Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and he is receiving treatment.
Detective Inspector Edward Barr said: “This is a deeply concerning incident, and our investigation is in its early stages. We believe the victim, who was on a bike, was attacked near Crosby Leisure Centre on Mariners Road by two males on electric bikes. He managed to escape but then collided with a car on Cambridge Road. The driver of the car stopped to help and immediately called emergency services.”
Police are currently conducting forensic examinations, house-to-house inquiries, and reviewing CCTV footage to piece together the events leading up to the attack.
Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Barr continued: “The area around Crosby Leisure Centre would have been busy at 6pm, and we are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward. We also appeal to drivers who may have dashcam footage from the area to contact us so we can identify those responsible and bring them to justice.”
He added: “There is no place for knives in our communities. We will always take action when we receive intelligence about people storing, carrying, or using weapons. If you have any information, please come forward – you can even report anonymously through Crimestoppers.”
If you have any information, please DM @MerPolCC or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference 756 of 24 February.
