A Southport School were taken to the police mounted section as a special treat.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: “Earlier this week, the Mini Police from Norwood Primary School In Southport were taken to visit the Merseyside Police Mounted unit at Mather Avenue.“
”They met the Officers and horses, tried on some of the specialist uniform and were given a demonstration of how the horses are used for crowd control.“
”It was a unique experience for the children, which they all enjoyed, and a change from some of the other aspects of police work they see from the Local Policing Team.”
“Next time the horses are in Southport the children will have some they should recognise from their visit.”
