Go Outside is an action packed - Outdoor Children's activities with a Military spin. Their 40 acres of woodland recreates years of military experience in both training and operational theatres. The tour of duty will deliver lots of exercise, copious amounts of fresh air and good old fashioned bonding.
In the age of mobile phones and computer screens, Go Outside invites you to put down your phones and turn off your televisions. Bring your family and friends for an action packed, fun filled day out in the fresh air.
The Go Outside activities are designed to exercise your body and your mind and all ages are welcome. They have the world's leading laser tag equipment, parachutes in the trees, assault courses, shelter building, campfires, NERF gun battles and not a mobile phone or iPad in sight.
Go Commando Fitness and events has been operating for 5 years now. After a long career as a Royal Marines Commando, It's founder Steven Howard, with a great eye for fitness decided to further his knowledge gained in the military and study and gain many qualifications in the fitness industry including 3 level 3 diplomas. He then opened up Go Commando to the public running from local parks. After building up a good reputation with locals, he took the bootcamp brand one further and built his own military style assault course. This was a great success and continued for many years.
They took on many more instructors and now they offer, team building days, stag/han do's, but their primary target now is their 'little soldiers birthday parties, school activity days, their long standing relationship with local cubs/Scout groups and their events, again concentrating on bringing families together in the great outdoors.
Halloween Scare Experience
New Halloween event will take you along terrifying woodland trail. Alone in the woods. Surrounded by darkness... and who knows what else.....In October.
The event organisers said it's "not for the faint hearted"
The fright trail takes you through a forest in complete darkness, with organisers promising ‘you will be scared’.
To keep it a surprise, few details have been released but those attending must book in groups.
In a message to those thinking about booking, organisers said: “It will be dark, it will be scary” with the event being described as “not for the faint-hearted !!!”
People will stick to their own groups and wander along a mile long pathway under the cover of darkness, where anything could happen. There will be no interaction with other parties.
The event takes place at Go Outside, Shorrocks Hill, Lifeboat Road in Formby on the evening of Friday, October 30 and Halloween night itself. Groups can book hour long slots from 7pm on the Friday and 6pm on Saturday, and you can even experience the trail at midnight - if you dare to.
Last month it was confirmed that the popular Farmageddon event won’t go ahead this year due to coronavirus social distancing restrictions.
