Appeal for information following cash box robbery in Crosby
Merseyside Police are appealing for information following the robbery of a cash box in Crosby this morning, Tuesday 15 May.
At around 11.55am, a report was received of a robbery outside the post office on College Road. Two men are believed to have approached a security guard and pushed him, before taking a cash box containing an amount of money to be determined.
The guard is being treated at the scene but he is not believed to have serious injuries. Enquiries are ongoing to establish how the men arrived and made off from the scene.
CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries are ongoing at the scene and anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is asked to come forward, either by messaging @MerpolCC, call 101 with reference 268, or @CrimestoppersUK anonymously on 0800 555 111.
