Police need help to trace two kind hearted motorists who helped 81 year old
We’re appealing for the public’s help to track down two kind hearted motorists who stopped to assist an elderly lady after she was robbed in broad daylight.
The incident happened just before 1pm on Saturday, 10 March as the victim was walking home on Brook Vale, Sefton near to Rimrose Valley Park.
Detective Constable Rose Aitken said: “The 81 year-old lady was approached by a man who attempted to grab her bag off her shoulder.
“Luckily, two passing motorists saw the event and stopped to help the victim – they even managed to get the bag back off the offender. The victim is very thankful for their actions, as without them, this could have been a very different story."
“The woman wasn’t injured in the attack, however she is understandably very shaken and upset by the whole event."
“We therefore need your help to spread the word to find these motorists as we believe they could have crucial information to help us to also track down the offender.”
The offender is described at tall, wearing dark clothing with his face covered – did you see him? Or were you one of the passing motorists?
