St Monica's Primary School paid tribute to a former head teacher called Brian Mulroy who died the day after it received its tenth outstanding inspection rating.
Brian Mulroy was the headteacher at St Monica’s from 1981-2002 and the school set the exacting standards which were first acknowledged by OFSTED in 1998. The school was also rated as outstanding by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate visit in 2010. The Catholic Archdiocese rated the school as outstanding in 2005, 2008, 2011 and 2016.
