The group also completed a challenging 4 day trek through the Sacred Valley climbing altitudes of 4600m to gain their well deserved Gold Duke of Edinburgh award!

While they were there, the students also carried out a project working with the local community high up in the Andes mountains.

Students carried out traditional farming methods used by the Quechua community and were given the opportunity to experience first hand the local culture.

Trish Southworth, D of E Co-ordinator at Range said 'The trip was a fantastic experience for the students. Highlights included visiting volcanic springs, Agues Calientes, Cusco, Lima and of course, the Andes
